Learner drivers between the age of 16 and 21 who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle can apply to take part in the TAC L2P Program, which assists learner drivers to gain the driving experience required to apply for a probationary licence.
Young learner drivers are paired with a fully licensed volunteer mentor with access to a vehicle being provided to gain valuable driving experience.
The Department of Transport manages the L2P Program which is delivered by Council. Program funding is provided by TAC and eligible applicants participate for free.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- aged between 16 and 21 years
- hold a current learner permit
- have no access to a vehicle or a supervising driver
- live in the City of Maribyrnong.

Complete the online application form. Once submitted, your application will be assessed and you'll be contacted with an outcome. If your application is approved, you will be contacted by a L2P Program Coordinator to arrange an interview.
