Student placements

Maribyrnong Youth Services is committed to developing and maintaining a highly-skilled and professional workforce of Youth Workers. As part of this commitment, we support Youth Work students to complete their fieldwork placements within our service, providing valuable experience and skill development to help them transition into employment.

At Maribyrnong Youth Services, we take on three placement students each year who are:

  • Studying their Bachelor, Diploma and/or Certificate IV in Youth Work
  • Completing their studies at Victoria University, RMIT, Swinburne, Kangan Institute or Chisolm TAFE
  • Have a current Working with Children Check
  • We also give preference to those who live in the Maribyrnong municipality

Applications for 2026 Student Placements are now closed. We will be opening our expressions of interest for 2027 placements in November 2026.
