Bluestone Church Arts Space

The Bluestone Church Arts Space is a dedicated arts and performance venue.

It is located at 8A Hyde Street, Footscray, right behind Footscray Town Hall and just minutes walk from Footscray Train Station.

The Bluestone Church Arts Space was originally known as the Wesleyan Church. Built in the late 1800s, the Church has long served as a social gathering place and contributed towards Footscray’s civic precinct. Now a Maribyrnong City Council facility, the church is a dedicated arts and cultural venue and continues the legacy of being a place where community comes together.

Offering a large open space with wooden floors totaling 251 square meters (including storage areas and amenities), the Bluestone Church Arts Space has been described by past users as versatile, unique and creatively inspiring. It can accommodate 80 people seated or 100 people standing, and features:

  • Small kitchenette including stove, microwave, and small under bench fridge
  • Ticket booth / kiosk area
  • Toilets
  • Wall-mounted heaters
  • A limited number of chairs and trestle tables
  • Portable theatre blacks
  • PA System available for hire

You will need to provide some information about what your event or activity involves, how you would like to use the space, and what date/s and time/s you are interested in.
