The Maribyrnong Youth Advisory Committee and Maribyrnong Youth presents the bi-annual Maribyrnong Youth Forum! 

This event brings together local young people to discuss the issues impacting young people in the City of Maribyrnong and to develop practical recommendations that will guide clear and tangible local actions Council can take over the next two years.

What to expect

• Connect and get inspired by meeting other young people, taking part in fun icebreakers and hearing from motivating speakers and local leaders.
• Share what matters to you through supported small‑group discussions where your ideas and lived experience are front and centre.
• Turn ideas into real action by working together to develop practical recommendations for change that decision‑makers listen to.
• Create real impact with leaders in the room, clear commitments made, and a public follow‑up showing what happens next.

Key details

• Please arrive by 9:15am. The Forum will run from 9:30am-3pm
• Lunch and snacks provided.
• This activity is for young people aged 12-25 who live, study, work or hang out in the City of Maribyrnong (Footscray, Braybrook, Yarraville, Maribyrnong and surrounds).

Please note: To create a safe space that belongs to young people, this Maribyrnong Youth Services activity is for 12-25 year olds only. Parents and carers are asked not to attend. Support workers are encouraged to attend if the young person has support needs – please let us know these upon registration. All Maribyrnong Youth services events are facilitated by trained Youth Workers. If you wish to meet our friendly staff before the event you are welcome to arrive from 9am. Accessibility

The Phoenix Youth Hub is on flat flooring with automatic doors. The site has accessible and all gender bathrooms on site. Prayer rooms and Wudu facilities are also onsite.
