Celebrate Children’s Week 2025 with an intergenerational art tour!

Every year, Children’s Week and the Victorian Seniors Festival occur in the same month. To celebrate creativity at every stage of life, children and adults of all ages are invited to a walking tour of a selection of street art murals created as part of Council’s StreetWORKS program.

Learn more about the process of creating a large-scale mural and discuss the creative ideas behind these artworks in an accessible walk around Barkly and Donald Streets, Footscray.

After our tour, we will walk back to Footscray Library together, where participants can discuss their favourite artworks and enjoy a light snack.

When: Meet at 3.45pm Friday 24 October 2025.

Meet: Laneway on the eastern side of Chemist Warehouse (190 Barkly St, facing Blackston St, Footscray).
