AUSTSWIM is the peak industry body for the Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety. Annually they present awards in a range of categories at their National Conference to recognise outstanding contribution in the field of swimming teaching.
In 2019, Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre's very own Bonnie received the National Award for Swim Teacher of the Year - Access and Inclusion Adults.
Bonnie is part of MAC’s excellent team of swimming teachers who has a strong passion for helping people of all ages and backgrounds to learn how to swim. Over many years Bonnie has demonstrated patience, understanding and developed innovative communication strategies and skills to help people overcome their fears and become confident swimmers.
We are all extremely proud that Bonnie has been recognised for her work.
