Next date: Monday, 18 August 2025 | 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM
Between 18-22 August, MAC's Occasional Childcare will be celebrating Book Week through a range of fun and educational activities as part of its regular occasional childcare programming.
Throughout the week, we’ll read a number of classic children's books with linked activities.
We will read The Very Hungry Caterpillar together, and the children will then make colourful paper caterpillars.
A classic from 1980, this book a must for any lover of reading. After enjoying the book together, children can explore making hippos from their handprints to add to the roof of the doll’s house.
We're going on a Bear Hunt
Children will use a range of puppets to play-out the story and have a sing along.
To have your child join in the fun at MAC, simply book them into a Childcare session at MAC between 18 - 22 August 2025. Note, parents and guardians are not able to be in attendance during the Occasional Childcare session.
You can book in your child via the MAC Online Client Portal.
Children’s Book Week is a national event by the Children's Book Council of Australia. This year’s celebration will run from Saturday 16 to Saturday 23 August. The 2025 theme is Book an Adventure!
