Winston started his MACqua Education journey at just 3 years old in 2016. Now at the age of 5 with the support from his committed MACqua Ed Teacher Ann Mercaldi, he has made some real progress in the pool.
When Winston began his lessons in the MACqua Ed program, it was a clear he was an adventurous 3 year old with love for the water however this youngster faced some tough challenges. After many hours in the water both attending the MACqua Ed lessons and free play with a family member out of hours, Winston has now achieved some outstanding goals. Assisting Winston achieve these goals throughout his MACqua Ed journey has been our highly experienced teacher Ann Mercaldi. Ann has 20 years experience teaching swimming and water safety for infants, children and participants in the access and inclusion program.
Winston can now swim freestyle, aided float on his back and swims underwater independently which is a great achievement. Winston enjoys his weekly lessons and play time with grandma each week.
