Run by Life Saving Victoria, this course will equip candidates with the skills and knowledge required to supervise swimming pool users. The course focus includes pool surveillance, scanning techniques, rescue skills, oxygen resuscitation and emergency care.
Run over two consecutive days, this course runs from 9 am - 4 pm each day. The dates list here are the first day of each course.
A current HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate must be held at course commencement. The Pool Lifeguard qualification cannot be issued until a copy has been provided to LSV.
Course activities occur in shallow and deep water, and are quite strenuous. Candidates should have a reasonable level of health/fitness and a reasonable swimming ability.
This course is run and administered by Life Saving Victoria at MAC.
