Group Fitness & Outdoor Training areas available during gym refresh

From Tuesday 9 September to Friday 12 September, the gym at MAC will be temporarily closed, but that doesn’t mean your routine has to take a break.
We’ve lined up a fantastic range of classes and will be opening the outdoor training area on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 September, so you can keep moving at MAC.
What’s available during the closure?
Temporarily Expanded Group Fitness Schedule
We’re adding extra classes to our timetable so you can stay active with your favourite instructors and try something new. We’re trialling new classes including a guided meditation session and chair Pilates.
So whether you're into high-energy cardio, strength training, or mindful movement, there’s something for everyone. View the group fitness timetable to see the additional class times.
Group Fitness Studio
We will also be opening up the group fitness studio for select times. Members can use the studio and its standard equipment for their own workout however please do not move the spin bikes. Entry and exit will be via the emergency door from the Outdoor Training Area.
Outdoor Training Area
We’re keeping the outdoor training area open during the closure during select days. To maintain space and ensure you have enough room for a workout, you need to make a booking via the MAC Client Portal.
Bookings are in 50-minute blocks throughout the day. You don’t have to enter at the start of your booking, but you must leave at the end of it. Members can enter and exit via the emergency exit, and the area will be stocked with a wide variety of equipment to support your workout.
You’ll find everything that’s already there, plus some extras:
- SkiErg
- Barbells & weight plates
- Plyo box
- Parallette bars
- Extra dumbbells
- Weight bench
- Skipping ropes
- Resistance bands
- Exercise mats.
Bookings for classes, the group fitness studio, and the outdoor area will be open two weeks in advance via the group fitness timetable. If you can no longer make your booking, please cancel your booking via the MAC Online Client portal.
Whether you're training solo or with a mate you can keep moving with MAC this September.
