Sons of the West returns to MAC

The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, in partnership with Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre, is proud to bring Sons of the West back to the City of Maribyrnong in 2026.

Now in its twelth year, Sons of the West is a free 10-week men’s health and wellbeing program supporting men aged 18+ to improve their physical, mental and social wellbeing.

More than just a fitness program, SOTW combines:

• Tailored movement sessions suitable for all fitness levels
• Expert-led education in mental health, nutrition and lifestyle
• A supportive, welcoming environment focused on connection and belonging

The program creates a safe, stigma-free space where men can build strength, confidence and resilience, together.

Sons of the West has supported thousands of men across Melbourne’s West and Ballarat, with participants reporting improved fitness, stronger mental wellbeing and meaningful community connection.
