Infant Swim Lessons

Our WONDER infant swimming program is designed for children aged 6 months to 3 years.

A parent or caregiver joins the child in the water for every lesson. Classes help both children and parents build confidence and feel comfortable in the water.

Lessons include water play, water familiarisation, parent and child bonding, building trust and introducing children to learning in a group.

  • WONDER 1: 6–12 months
  • WONDER 2: 1–2 years
  • WONDER 3: 2–3 years

WONDER 1 and 2

  • Maximum 8 children per class
  • Parent or caregiver must be in the water
  • Held in the leisure pool or warm water pool
  • Water depth: approximately 1 metre
  • Lesson time: 28 minutes

WONDER 3 

  • Maximum 6 children per class
  • Parent or caregiver must be in the water
  • Held in the leisure pool
  • Water depth: approximately 60–80 cm
  • Lesson time: 28 minutes
  • This level is designed to prepare children for independency of Pre-School classes.

There is a 2-minute changeover between classes.

Preschool Swim Lessons

Our preschool swimming lessons are for children aged 3 - 5 years.

Parents and caregivers do not need to be in the water during these lessons.

Pre School Levels

  • Preschool Level 1: Maximum 4 children
  • Preschool Levels 2: Maximum 5 children
  • Preschool Level 3: Maximum 5 children

Classes are held in the leisure pool, with water depths of approximately 60-80 cm.

Lessons run for 28 minutes, with a 2-minute changeover between classes.

Assessments

Preschool children do not need a swimming assessment before enrolling.

You can enrol your child directly into the Learn to Swim program by visiting our centre.

Aqua nappy policy

It's vital for the safety and enjoyment of all pool users that child who aren't properly toilet trained wear a well fitted swim nappy. These are available for purchase from Customer Service.
