MAC is Life Saving Victoria's Swim and Survive Licensee of the Year
In July 2013 at the 10th Annual Life Saving Victoria Awards of Excellence, Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre was announced the winner of LSV Licensee of the Year. This award is the culmination of the combined efforts of the following teams: swim teachers, customer service officers, centre supervisors, lifeguards, swim teacher liaison officers and aquatics team leaders.
Our program is strong because our team is committed to working towards our collective goals. Together we will continue to provide our community with an outstanding learn to swim program.
In addition, this year Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre was nominated in three areas of the Swim School Award

This award recognises innovative and effective management practices to achieve excellence in swim school operations.
2. Nomination - MAC team member Luke Walker
AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Award
General Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
This award recognise the outstanding contribution by an individual to the teaching of swimming and water safety.
3. Nomination – MAC team member Carol Crofts
Outstanding Contribution to the Aquatic and Recreation Industry Award
This award is the highest recognition provided by the industry. This award acknowledges the outstanding achievement and contribution made by an individual over their career to the Victorian Aquatic and Recreation Industry.
