Families Week

Families Week is Australia’s national celebration of families. This year, Families Week runs from 11 – 17 May 2026, to align with the United Nations International Day of Families on 15 May.

 

The week brings communities together through events, activities and celebrations that recognise the vital role families play in Australian life. The theme for 2026, “Every Family, Everywhere,” celebrates the many forms families take, the contributions they make, and the activities that bring us together. For Families Week 2026, Council will host a range of uplifting events and activities across the city.
