International Women's Day
International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated annually around the world on March 8 to acknowledge the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality. It's also as a day to raise awareness and take action against gender-based discrimination and violence.
International Women's Day 2023
The UN Women Australia’s International Women’s Day theme for 2023 is ‘Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future’. Cracking the Code highlights the role that bold, transformative ideas, inclusive technologies, and accessible education can play in combatting discrimination and the marginalisation of women globally.
Further details about our 2023 celebrations will be made available here, closer to the date.
