From 1 July 2026, cats in the City of Maribyrnong will need to stay indoors or within a secure enclosure between 7pm and 7am each day.The overnight curfew follows extensive community consultation and forms part of Council’s commitment to responsible pet ownership, protecting local wildlife and supporting the health and wellbeing of cats.
