We conduct an annual community survey to help us community sentiment, expectations and concerns. The surveys provides an in-depth examination of Council services and facilities and helps to inform your service and infrastructure needs.  Copies of our Annual Community Survey reports can be downloaded below.

How is the survey conducted?

Council commissions Metropolis Research to undertake its annual survey. Trained fieldwork staff conduct face-to-face interviews of about 20 minutes duration with randomly selected household across the municipality*.

The methodology, developed by Metropolis Research over almost two decades, provides the most effective means of including respondents from across the broad spectrum of the Maribyrnong community.

* Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Community Satisfaction Survey was conducted differently. Phone interviews replaced the traditional face-to-face approach and were conducted in October and November 2020.
