Types of Playgroups
There are two types of playgroups available for children in the City of Maribyrnong:
- Community playgroups
- Supported playgroups.
Community playgroups
A commumnity playgroup is any playgroup managed and run by community members. These can be run by an early childhood professional or community members.
Supported playgroups
Supported playgroups are designed for families requiring extra support, these playgroups are a free program for families across Victoria with children from birth to school age. A qualified facilitator leads sessions to provide space for parents to develop their skills and confidence to support their child's wellbeing and development. Eligibility criteria applies.
