International Day of People with Disability
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is celebrated each year on 3 December. It aims to promote community awareness and understanding.
Each year Council commits to observing and acknowledging the day. It’s an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge contributions and achievements of people with disability, and to focus attention on how we can all help create a more inclusive, accessible and connected community.
This annual event encourages everyone - businesses, community groups and individuals - to reflect on opportunities, barriers, listen to lived experience, and continue to strengthen and improve access and inclusion.
If you have any access requirements, please call, text or email Haley Zilberberg, Disability Project Officer, at DAPenquiries@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au or 0403 069 790. If possible, please advise of any access requirements at least two weeks before an event.
