Get Active Expo
The Get Active Expo is a free four-week program from Sunday 16 March to Sunday 13 April 2025.
The 2025 Expo is full of 'come and try' style sessions designed to showcase a range of sport, recreation and wellbeing opportunities available throughout the City of Maribyrnong.
There are activities offered for everyone to enjoy including infants (0-2), toddlers (2-5), children (5-12), young people (12-18), adults and older adults (18-55+). We also include 'women only' sessions and 'all abilities' sessions.

Registrations
Registrations open from 9am on Monday 3 March 2025 and you can register for any program in three easy steps.

Get Active Expo Event Passport
To get your Get Active Expo Event Passport come along to the launch event where you can pick one up. Alternatively, you can collect your passport from Council's Customer Service team, RecWest Footscray, RecWest Braybrook and Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre following the launch on 16 March. If you would prefer a digital passport just get in touch with the Get Active team by emailing active@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au.
Don't forget to take your passport with you to every program you participate in and be sure to redeem your passport sticker. Collect at least five passport stickers and once the Get Active Expo concludes, send your passport into the Get Active team to go into the draw to win some great prizes and to receive a complimentary five visit pass to RecWest Footscray* and the Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre*.

Get Active Expo Special Event: Beach Tennis
Active Maribyrnong is hosting a special event as part of the Get Active Expo specifically designed to engage families and the LGBTIQA+ community.
This free event is all about encouraging people to come together to have fun, get active and connect with others in a safe, welcoming environment, suitable for people of all ages and abilities.

Get Active Expo Closing Event
To mark the conclusion of the 2025 Get Active Expo the Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre will be hosting a "Dive In" Movie Celebration.
Come along and celebrate all the goals you've achieved during the Expo on Friday 11 April 2025 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre, 1 Aquatic Drive, Maribyrnong (view map).

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I can no longer attend a session?
Please cancel your ticket so someone else can attend. There is a link to cancel your ticket in the confirmation email you received. Otherwise if you can’t find your confirmation email send us an email active@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au and we can cancel your spot.
How do I select other dates when registering?
To select a different date when on the registration page, under the heading ‘Date’ click the date and it will have a drop down of the other dates you can select. For each date make sure you click the + symbol under ‘Number of Tickets’ to add a ticket to your cart.
Can I get the 5 visit passes to MAC and RecWest Footscray?
In order to be eligible for the 5 visit passes to MAC and RecWest Footscray you need to attend 5 sessions throughout the Get Active Expo. Collect a sticker at each session. Once you have 5 stickers on your passport return the passport to us and you will be eligible to access the 5 visit passes to MAC and RecWest Footscray from 14th April to 14th May.

I'm having trouble registering for a program, what do I do?
Please call us on 9688 0200 or email us active@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au and we are happy to help you register. We can also help you register at the Expo Launch event on Sunday 16th March from 10am-12pm at Footscray Park, Footscray.
Where do I collect the Get Active Expo passport?
You can collect your Get Active Expo Passport from the Expo Launch event on Sunday 16th March from 10am-12pm at Footscray Park or after Sunday 16th March from Council Customer Service staff at the Civic Precinct and Community Hub (corner Hyde and Napier St, Footscray).
Can I have a digital Get Active Expo passport?
If you would prefer to have digital passport rather than collecting a sticker from each session, take a selfie/photo at 5 Get Active Expo sessions you attend. Once you have 5 photos at different sessions email the photos to active@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au with the Subject: Get Active Expo Digital Passport.
Once I have 5 stickers, how do I return my Get Active Expo passport?
Return your Get Active Expo passport to:

Can I join after the Get Active Expo has started?
Yes, you can. While we recommend joining as early as possible to get the most out of the full 4-week program, you can register for a session throughout the Get Active Expo. You can join at any time, as long as there's still space available, whether it's after one session or just before the last one.
