Enoki mushroom! Snowpea leaves! Crispy beancurd skin! Bean thread noodles!

Winter is here and that means it’s time to come together over hot pot. Over three hours we’ll be serving 3 kinds of bottomless vegan hotpot made with care and love by our friend Ngọc from Shop Bao Ngọc. A sweet treat at the end too.

In this gathering we will come together over hot pot to chat about how we have built and are building care systems through food and community amidst the pandemic. Let's turn to our internal, ancestral and collective wisdom to guide us through these challenging times. Come together to share recipes of care and friendship and with fellow queer people of colour through eating together, conversation and zine-making.

This event is for the LGBTIQ+ people of colour including First Nations, migrants and refugees from the Asian, African, Indian, Arab and Pacific Islander diaspora. You do not need to be ‘out’ to attend this event.

Limited capacity of 10 attendees in person at this stage. Priority is for those living or have a connection with the Maribyrnong Council Area. All generations are welcome. Parents or caregivers are welcome to bring their kids along. There will be vegan and gluten free options available.
