Sons of the West is a free 10-week men’s health program for men aged 18 and over, focused on improving mental and physical health in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The Sons of the West program guides discussions and provides opportunities to increase physical and mental health. It is delivered by Council in partnership with Western Bulldogs Community Foundation.

Participants learn about a broad range of health topics, increase their physical activity levels, enjoy eating healthier food and make improvements to their mental wellbeing. Most importantly, they share a health and wellbeing journey with support from other like-minded men in Maribyrnong.

The program is held at Mission Whitten Oval for 10 weeks on Wednesday night from 6:30-8:30pm starting on Wednesday 22 April 2026.
