Stony Creek recovery

Following the West Footscray/Tottenham fire, Council committed to returning the much loved Stony Creek to its original state.

Below you will find information on the process that commenced the restoring of Stony Creek and surrounds to a state that could once again be revered by local residents and visitors.

A number of agencies were involved with Council being the lead agency who worked collaboratively to respond to the needs of Stony Creek and surrounding area. Agencies included:

Metropolitan Fire Brigade
Environment Protection Authority
VicEmergency
Melbourne Water.
