Councillor Support and Expenses Reports

Maribyrnong City Council is classified as a Category 2 Council as determined by the State Government, which provides for an allowance of $76,521 for the Mayor and $24,730 for Councillors.

The Local Government Act 1989 requires Council to adopt and maintain a policy in relation to the reimbursement of expenses, and it is Council's policy to make Councillor expenditure public by reporting to Council quarterly.
