Next date: Thursday, 19 March 2026 | 09:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Join Maribyrnong City Council for a community panel discussion marking the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD).
This event acknowledges Council’s Anti-Racism Project, delivered in partnership with Victoria University, and explores how racism is experienced locally and what practical anti-racism action looks like at a community level.
The structured conversation will bring together local government leadership, research, community health and lived experience perspectives to explore how racism is experienced locally and how community and institutions can support constructive, practical responses.
Racism is experienced daily in our community. Naming it clearly, listening to lived experience, and building confidence to respond are necessary steps towards meaningful change.
The event will commence at 9am with a light breakfast prior to the panel discussion at 9.30am.
Bookings are essential and can be made below.
