Join us to plant 6,000 native ground covers and shrubs on Sunday 26 July for National Tree Day.

This year marks 30 years of National Tree Day and we are inviting our community to join us for a family-friendly planting day in Braybrook Park.

Mayor, Cr Mohamed Semra said National Tree Day is a great opportunity to get out and make a positive difference to your neighbourhood.

“National Tree Day is the perfect opportunity to come together, meet new people and plant for our community and our future,” Mayor Semra said.

Maribyrnong’s trees and understory - our urban forest - play such an important role in the overall health of our City. Events like this truly transform our suburbs, and we thank Bupa and Landcare for supplying the native plants for this year’s event.

Everyone in our community is invited and attendees can enjoy a free coffee and BBQ lunch for their efforts.

As part of the event there will also be free face painting and a wildlife show from 10:30am where residents can learn about the animals that call our parks home.
