Get ready to embrace the festive spirit in Maribyrnong this holiday season, with a range of events and activities for the whole family.

Kicking off early with the Seddon Fun and Games Fair this Saturday, check out the Seddon waiters' race, have a go on the dunking machine, enter your pooch in the dog show and catch the arrival of Santa on a fire truck.

Next up is the opening of Santa's Workshop in the heart of Footscray on 1 December. Big and little kids are invited to experience a jam-packed month of festive activities including Santa visits, entertainers, crafts, and an Augmented Reality (AR) dance with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Join us on 8 December at Braybrook Community Hub for a family-friendly picnic featuring Santa, a free sausage sizzle, a Wild Action Zoo wildlife show, Western Bulldogs activities, and Manny the Magician.

You’re also invited to a celebration like no other – the 30th anniversary of Yarraville Carols in the Gardens – at Yarraville Gardens on 16 December. Hosted by the acclaimed Footscray-Yarraville City Band and the Rotary Clubs of Yarraville and West Footscray, this free event is one of Victoria’s best Christmas Carols celebrations.

And finally, for the third year in a row, Council will be using the magic of AR to entertain and engage residents and visitors to our City this Christmas. These unmissable experiences include a search and find adventure for six cheeky AR elves in Yarraville, and a magical gingerbread hunt in West Footscray.
