Improving open spaces in Kingsville at Beevers and Bell Reserve

Beevers Reserve

The Beevers and Bell Reserves Concept Plans have been endorsed following engagement with our community last year.

Kingsville is a priority area in Council’s 2023 Open Space Strategy Update due limited green space and amenities.

“By improving these reserves, we are making better places for our community to grow, connect and thrive,” said Mayor Cr Mohamed Semra.

The Beevers and Bell Reserve Concept Plans, endorsed by Council at the May meeting, aim to add more of what our community loves to these spaces, new play equipment, more greenery, and better spaces to relax, meet and play.

More than 650 responses were gathered over the two phases of engagement. Your feedback on the draft plans helped us move gardens beds to provide more open space, and add more bike racks and an interpretive sign.

We have kept the road closure of Coronation Street in the Bell Reserve plan to provide more green space for our community to enjoy.

We have also kept the public toilet in the Beevers Reserve Plan to help locals and visitors stay and play.

The planned toilet will be reviewed as part of our Public Toilet Plan 2019-2029 and later installed as part of the public toilet delivery program rather than as part of the park upgrades.

Works at both reserves are partially funded as part of the State Government’s Pick My Park Program.

Further site investigations and other works are set to begin next financial year, subject to the 2026/27 Budget.
