Preventing family violence
Violence against women is serious and prevalent. But it is also preventable.
Through our programs and services, we seek to prevent family violence and support community members who are affected by family violence.
Our staff in community, youth and family services are trained to identify and respond to disclosures of violence. We will help connect you with local support services.
- partner with local agencies to deliver response and prevention initiatives, including distributing care packages to women and children experiencing family violence
- coordinate events around 16 Days of Activism (which incorporates 16 Days of Activism, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Internal Human Rights Day and White Ribbon Day.
