Maribyrnong Community Centre
Maribyrnong Community Centre offers several spaces for hire and all are suitable for a variety of purposes.
The Hall, Kitchen and multipurpose rooms (Sandy's and Training Rooms) are available for use on:
- Monday to Saturday from 9am to 11pm
- Sundays from 9am to 7pm.
Booking times must include your set-up and pack-up.
Hire rates
A reduced hire (community) rate is available for non-profit organisations and community groups and all bookings must be made at least 14 days in advance. All bookings are subject to approval.

Hall
Our Hall is ideal for large seminars, information sessions, plays, community gatherings and dance classes. It is pre-booked by regular hirers on weekends, but availability on weekdays.

- Capacity: 150 (seminar) or 100 (table seating)
- 28 tables (10 round, 18 rectangular)
- 150 lightweight chairs
- Projector, screen and audio system (microphone not supplied)
- Cooling, heating and fans
- Wooden floor suitable for dancing
- Stage with doors, curtain, lectern, whiteboards
- Access to courtyard
Training Room
Our Training Room is perfect for meetings, small seminars, group activities and learning programs.

- Capacity: 25 (seminar) or 15 (table seating)
- Whiteboard
- Smart TV with computer (HDMI cable not supplied after hours)
- 4 'flip' tables on wheels (rectangular), chairs as required
- Heating, cooling and fans
Sandy’s Room
Sandy's Room is our largest of the two multipurpose spaces and can be configured to meet various needs. The kitchenette allows for small group catering and serving.

- Capacity: 30 (seminar) or 15 (table seating)
- Kitchenette with fridge, microwave, benchtop, sink and boiling water
- Whiteboard (on request)
- Smart TV (HDMI cable not supplied after hours)
- 4 'flip' tables on wheels, chairs as required
- Heating, cooling
- Sheer and solid blinds on windows
- Exit door to car park
Kitchen
The large kitchen is suitable for cooking classes or catering. The attached dining area seats 24 people at 3 round tables.

Public liability insurance
Individuals or groups hiring the facility must have their own public liability insurance or pay to be covered by Council's insurance policy (subject to approval). Groups who have their own public liability insurance must provide a copy of their policy when lodging their booking application.
Restrictions
As we are located in a residential area, restrictions apply to the use of the Community Centre, especially on evenings and weekends.
