Artist sketch of park in Austin Street

The Austin Street Pop-Up Park was a priority from the Seddon Neighbourhood Plan and in August 2025 Council decided to trial the park.

The park will be trialled for 18 months, closing vehicle access between Austin Street and Victoria Street.

Austin Street will be closed from 19 January to 13 February for construction, weather permitting, and remain closed to vehicles during the trial.

During the trial we will also seek further feedback from the community about the pop-up park.
