Due to financial constraints this project has been deferred.
Due to financial constraints the available $6.5m in 2026/27 FY has been deferred to future years and the construction of the pavilion has been delayed until budget is confirmed.
This project remains a priority for Council and is a key item in our plans for Hansen Reserve. At this stage the pavilion will be reviewed in future Capital Works budgets.
To meet the club's current needs until a new fit-for-purpose pavilion can be built, Council is investigating the purchase of temporary facilities that can be moved to other reserves to support our growing City into the future.
The design of the new pavilion in unchanged and will provide modern universally designed unisex facilities with access for people of all abilities.
The new pavilion aims to support the growing clubs at Hansen Reserve and will be built at the centre of the four turf playing fields and the new netball courts.
It will include a large multipurpose space and a meeting space that will be available for community group bookings outside of sporting club activities. The pavilion will also feature a commercial kitchen, modern change rooms with gender neutral amenities, and more storage.
