Would you like to learn some lighting fundamentals for the performing arts?

Come along to a free workshop with artist, sound designer and technician Tim Dwyer. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of setting up and operating a lighting desk and lights for a small-scale performing arts event.

This hands-on learning opportunity is suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners. You will leave feeling confident about how to use the LSC Mantra-Lite lighting board in the Bluestone Church Arts Space and ready to apply your working knowledge of how lighting equipment works to other lighting equipment.

This workshop will be particularly useful to anyone planning on staging a work at the Bluestone Church Arts Space.

This workshop is free with refreshments provided. RSVPs essential.

About Timothy:

Timothy Dwyer is a Melbourne based media artist, sound designer/tech and musician.

As a musician he has been re-wiring the expansive nest of electronic music’s form and function through multi era-bridging hardware rigs. He has performed nationally and internationally from the Javanese jungle to Dark MOFO. His albums have been described as a sinister mix of rupture and play with his 2019 release, “Deep Fakes”, being labelled as "a missing link between a certain 1990s tendency and the present” by renowned music magazine The Wire.

As a sound designer and AV tech he has worked professionally in film and TV studio environments as well as live events since graduating from AFTRS in 2012.

As a media artist, his video and interactive media works have been exhibited in galleries throughout Australia, with live video works being performed and presented at events such as VIVID live in Sydney.
