Yarraville Station 150 years celebration

Yarraville Station 150 years

Yarraville has a long and proud history and the numerous heritage listed buildings we still see today are a constant reminder of days long passed.

The opening of the Yarraville Train Station in 1871 was a key milestone for the community and helped kick-start a lot of the commercial development around the station that has become the Yarraville Village that we know and love today.

To celebrate the 150 year milestone you are invited to come down to enjoy the day in Yarraville Village with entertainment from the Footscray Yarraville City Band and roving entertainment Stopping All Stations.

There will also be free cupcakes and commemorative mementos for sale from participating stores.

The Footscray Historical Society will also have a stand set up on the day and experts on hand to discuss the history in more detail.
