We are so proud of the way our community has rallied together to give generously to those affected by the devastating bushfires across the country.

We’ve been asked by the State Government to help remind residents that relief centres are overwhelmed by donations, which is diverting resources away from critical tasks. The best way people can help impacted communities is through financial donations.

The Victorian Government has launched a new fund in partnership with the Bendigo Bank Community Enterprise Foundation and the Salvation Army, dedicated to helping Victorians impacted by the recent bushfires. Donations to the new fund will be held in a dedicated account overseen by Pat McNamara, former Victorian Deputy Premier and Minister for Police and Emergency Services. Donations can be made at any Bendigo Bank branch or online via: vic.gov.au/bushfireappeal

A number of local businesses are also raising funds and supporting those affected by the fires - see below for full details on how you can get involved.

Aangan Indian Restaurant: free meals for emergency personnel

Aangan has pledged $10,000 to the Victorian Government Emergency Fund, and the Victorian Government is matching this donation.

On top of this donation, Aangan is offering a free combo meal to all emergency personnel to say thank you to the brave people protecting our country.
