Changes to Council services over the festive season

Waste collection

Council will not be collecting general waste, recycling, green or hard waste on Christmas Day (25 December) or New Year’s Day (1 January):

  • waste collections scheduled for Friday 25 December will be collected on Saturday 26 December
  • waste collections scheduled for Friday 1 January will be collected on Saturday 2 January

From Monday 4 January, all waste and hard waste collections will continue as normal.

You can download our Bins and Recycling app to find your bin day and for notifications when to put your bin out.

To view bin collections for a specific address, visit the Bin Collection Calendar and click the search option and follow the prompts. The calendar is one of the many features of Council's Bin and Recycling app.

Any calls or enquiries on Christmas Day (Friday 25 December), the Boxing Day Public Holiday (Monday 28 December) and New Year’s Day (Friday 1 January), will be referred to the after-hours service, who will be managing urgent matters.
