Head to Yarraville Gardens this Sunday 10 December for a taste of Albanian culture, food and music as part of the Albanian Community Festival, now in its 26th year.

Held once again at the beautiful Yarraville Gardens, this much-loved family festival commemorates Albanian Independence Day (28 November, 1912) which is an important day for Albanians all over the world.

“People come from all over the countryside to enjoy traditional food and music, making this the largest gathering of the Albanian community in Australia,” said Adzi Ceni, Secretary of the Albanian Australian Community Association

“We also encourage the wider community within the area to come along and enjoy the day. This also provides us the opportunity to present a little of our culture to those that would not normally come across our community.”

The festival will feature a host of local acts featuring a mixture of traditional and non-traditional music and dance as well as rides for the kids and variety of stalls.
