Maribyrnong City Council is excited to announce Mari-bot, a new online tool to support the community and make it easier to connect with us by helping residents quickly access answers to common enquiries such as animal matters and waste collection.

Hosted on Council’s website, Mari-bot will guide enquirers through a series of prompted online questions to locate information about a chosen topic.

Mayor, Michael Clarke says this additional tool to connect with Council will ensure the team are more responsive and provide more timely and informed communications.

“We recognise that people are seeking quick, simple answers to their enquiries and they do not always have the means to call or email us. We hope this is a welcome addition for residents.”

“It is so important that we are proactively servicing the needs of our community, and doing what we can to assist with their requests. We do not want there to be any road blocks or barriers for residents to reach out to us.”

Mari-bot will be supported by Customer Service Officers who will Live Chat during business hours if further assistance is required.

Importantly, users will also be able to select to chat in the language of their choice using a translator tool.

Customers can still contact Customer Service via email at email@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au or phone at 9688 0200. In line with the State Government’s guidelines, Council’s office is currently closed for face-to-face enquiries.

Council responds to over 60,000 emails and nearly 150,000 phone enquiries a year via its Customer Service team. Common enquiries include animal matters and waste collection.
