In an effort to make lockdown more comfortable for residents, here are some ways to help fend off the boredom.

  • Click and Collect at Footscray Library

Launching Monday 7 June, members can collect their reservations from Footscray Library between 11am and 2pm, Monday to Saturday during lockdown.

Place your reservations on our catalogue or app, and once you receive a notice saying your reservations are ready, please call the library from Monday on 9688 0290 between 10am and 4pm to arrange collection. You can also arrange collection for any existing reservations that you might have available.

  • Turning on the lights at Shorten and Angliss Reserves

Allowing more time to exercise after dark in lockdown, we will be turning on the lights each night* at Shorten Reserve (5.30pm to 7.30pm weekdays only) in West Footscray and Angliss Reserve in Yarraville (5.30pm to 7.30pm) to provide a safe, well-lit environment for residents.

*Note the lights at Shorten Reserve are club operated and is weather dependant.

  • Live Story Time and Baby Rhyme time

Maribyrnong Libraries will be hosting live sessions on Zoom this week. Story Time will run at 11am on Tuesday 8 June, and Baby Rhyme Time will run at 11am on Thursday 10 June. Register at www.maribyrnong.eventbrite.com

In the meantime, catch up on their Story Time and Baby Rhyme Time at Home series on YouTube with new videos added every Monday and Tuesday.
