McIvor Dog Park is now in the detailed design phase following community engagement last year.
The new Park will include separated areas for active and quieter dogs, a shelter, and more seating and greenery.
We heard from over 120 community members in November and December 2025 and this feedback has helped us improve the Park’s design.
Thanks to your feedback the concept design now includes better access along Francis Street, more lawn area, climbable boulders, a perimeter path, and more seating.
Works on the dog park are included in the draft 2026/27 Budget and are supported by a $100,000 State Government grant.
This work is part of the McIvor Reserve Master Plan and we expect to share more information about other works at this key reserve in the coming months.
