More greenery and amenities proposed for Beevers and Bell reserves
Published on 23 October 2025
Improved play spaces, better park amenities, and more green space are among the proposed upgrades for Kingsville’s Beevers and Bell reserves.
In March 2025, Council asked for the community’s ideas on how to improve Beevers and Bell reserves. Feedback provided clear direction for improvements, highlighting desires for enhanced play spaces, better park facilities, increased greenery, and safer, more functional public spaces.
There were mixed views about adding a public toilet in Beevers Reserve at Wales Street, but more support for closing Coronation Street at Bell Reserve to expand the footprint of the reserve.
We are now calling for thoughts on the draft Concept Designs based on the initial community feedback and our own further investigations. We want to check if your views have changed or if they have stayed the same.
“We are keen to hear from you to make sure we have got it right and that the final concept designs reflect the values of the Kingsville community. This includes the proposed installation of a public toilet at Beevers Reserve and the proposed road closure of Coronation Street at Bell Reserve, which would increase the size of the Reserve to make it a more accessible and useable open space,” Mayor, Cr Pradeep Tiwari said.
Other key features of the Beevers Reserve draft Concept Design include new play equipment and nature play, a shelter with picnic seating and a barbecue. While key features of the Bell Reserve draft Concept Design include pathway connections, native garden beds, open lawn areas, rocks and logs, seating, and picnic tables.
Your feedback will help finalise the designs before they go back to Council for consideration in early 2026.
