Council invites the community to come together to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2025, from 6-13 July, honouring the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy”, celebrates the strength of young First Nations leaders, the vision of communities, and the enduring legacy of Elders and Ancestors.

Mayor, Cr Pradeep Tiwari is encouraging community members to get involved in the many NAIDOC Week events happening across our City.

“Here in the City of Maribyrnong, culture and diversity are central to who we are. As a Council, we are committed to supporting events that bring us together to celebrate and learn from one another.”

Council is proud to support a number of community events throughout the week, including the following.
