Published on 03 July 2017
The Small Business Festival is the biggest annual learning and networking opportunity for small business owners in Victoria. This year Maribyrnong will host a record number of events across the City from 1 – 31 August.
Victoria has the highest growth of new businesses with more than 15,300 created last year alone. This Festival is designed to support the now 556,000 small businesses in Victoria with the opportunity to learn practical new skills and access new ideas to start and grow their business via a range of low-cost and free events.
Maribyrnong’s 2017 program features 12 events – from conferences and seminars to inspirational talks and workshops- all designed to give small business owners a chance to gain practical advice to see their small business grow and expand in the digital era.
Events cover a diverse range of topics including marketing, social media, employing and managing staff and financial management.
The always-popular Women in Business Networking Breakfast held at Town Hall on August 15 provides an opportunity for local business operators to network and exchange ideas and be inspired by Maribyrnong’s leading women in business.
The festival is an initiative of the Victorian Government through Small Business Victoria in collaboration with City of Maribyrnong.
