Welcoming Maribyrnong’s newest councillor

On Monday 21 January, the Victorian Electoral Commission conducted the countback for the extraordinary vacancy in Stony Ward created by Cr Catherine Cumming’s resignation from Maribyrnong City Council.

Council is pleased to announce that Megan Bridger-Darling was duly elected and officially sworn in as a Councillor on the same day.

Cr Bridger-Darling plans to focus on transport in the municipality; having played an active role in Council’s Parking Advisory Group and Bike West.

A word from the Mayor, Cr Martin Zakharov:

“Maribyrnong Councillors and I are delighted to welcome Cr Bridger-Darling on board and look forward to working with her to continuously improve our much loved City.”
