Footscray Repair Cafe
Next date: Saturday, 11 July 2026 | 11:00 AM
to 02:00 PM
Angliss Neighbourhood House has set up a new repair café in Footscray! On the second Saturday of every month, Footscray locals will be able to bring in their broken items, and hopefully have them fixed for free!
How does it work? How can I get something repaired?
You can make a booking by filling out the booking request form. You are welcome to pop in without a booking, but you might need to wait a while if the team is already busy. If there is no repairer on-site who can fix your item, it can be arranged for you to come back another time. Where possible, visitors can also learn how to repair items yourselves, gaining valuable skills to extend the lifetime of your item!
Why a Repair Cafe?
Angliss Neighbourhood House values sustainability, skill-sharing and community connection. The repair Cafe is playing a role in minimising waste, reducing landfill, and encouraging sustainable practices by extending the life of household items.
Repair Cafes are also about creating connection, saving money and learning new skills!
This event is being promoted as part of Council’s Plastic Free July campaign to help reduce single-use plastics and support more sustainable everyday choices.
