Planning Scheme Amendment C141 - Licensed Premises Policy

Council has developed a local planning policy to guide planning applications for licensed premises. The policy has been implemented into the Maribyrnong Planning Scheme through Amendment C141.

Licensed premises (which allow the serving of alcohol) contribute to our city’s vibrancy, attractiveness and tourism potential. As our city continues to grow, this policy will help maximise the positive qualities of licensed premises while minimising potential negative impacts.

  • Introducing a new local policy for licensed premises at Clause 22.08
  • Amending the Municipal Strategic Statement at Clause 21.08 to include new objectives and strategies for licensed premises
  • Inserting Maribyrnong City Council – Managing the Impacts of Licensed Premises 2015 as a reference document at Clause 21.12
