Safe Steps Walk Against Family Violence

Part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign, the Safe Steps Walk Against Family Violence is a free walk-from-home event where locals can join participants from across the state in showing support and solidarity for those who have been impacted by family violence.

Participants are encouraged to wear something orange like a facemask, hat or t-shirt, and make a plan to get outdoors and show their support: walk or wheelchair around the block, go for a walk with a friend or colleague, register to be part of Maribyrnong City Council’s team or find a group and participate in a planned local event in your area – you choose.

You can also join others on social media using #WAFV2020.
