Council is inviting community feedback on the draft Integrated Transport Strategy.
The Strategy is Council’s long-term plan for transport in the City of Maribyrnong. It aims to make it easier, safer and better for people to get around the City - whether they walk, cycle, catch public transport, drive or use a mobility aid.
City of Maribyrnong Mayor, Cr Mohamed Semra, said our City is growing, and our transport needs are changing.
“Following the opening of the West Gate and Metro Tunnels, we know that is has made an impact on how people get around in our City. It is important we keep working towards a City that works with us and our way of life in the west,” Cr Semra said.
“We need your help to shape the future of all transport modes in Maribyrnong.”
The draft Strategy considers walking, cycling, public transport, parking, traffic, freight, access and neighbourhood infrastructure.
The draft Strategy builds on earlier transport studies and community feedback, where we heard the community want:
This engagement is focused on testing and refining the draft Strategy before it is presented to Council for endorsement.
Residents, businesses, workers, students, and visitors are encouraged to have their say.
