Swim Unity helps women of all backgrounds become safer in the water.

The free program teaches participants water-safety basics and helps them feel more confident in and around the water.

Since 2024, more than 250 women, from 30 different countries have improved their confidence in the water with Swim Unity.

More than just swimming, Swim Unity is about building connections, developing new skills, and feeling supported in a welcoming environment.

Program graduate, Maria loved Swim Unity as it made her feel safe swimming with her kids.

“Before I came to the program, I had a phobia of the water - I was scared. But now I am happy because I can swim with my kids, and I am comfortable,” she said.

Unfortunately, Royal Life Saving Australia’s National Drowning Report shows that people born overseas are more likely to drown.

Swim Unity aims to address this by teaching safe swimming whilst creating lasting connections in our community.

Expressions of interest are now open for the upcoming 8-week program in September.
