Council, through partnership funding from the West Gate Neighbourhood Fund, has recently completed the construction of new cricket practice nets within the Hanmer Reserve Precinct to support the tenant sports clubs in modernising their practice facilities.

The works include:
These works will provide a modern and compliant four lane cricket practice net facility for the local sporting clubs, replacing the outdated nets located on Hanmer Oval. These works will occur at the same time that Cowper Street is being developed and the West Gate Tunnel Project’s Harris Street walking and cycling paths are being constructed.
